Europe... c'est moi!

Louis XIV of France, the Sun king, is attriputed the quote "L'État, c'est moi" or in English "I am the State". The king and France were one and the same. King the man, king the state, inseparable.

I have come to the conclusion that the king of France was the first man to embrace genuine republican ideal of the relationship of individual citizen and the state.

Affairs of the state, public matters, res publica, are not to be separated from private affairs of a citizen. The full weight of responsibilety over public matters is carried alone by all citizens regardless of who is acting on his behalf, regardless who else is influencing the actions.

For a citizen the is no escape into private domain, or property ownership. Creation of ownership as separate from mere enforced control of resources, is a public matter. Only citizens treating res publica as their own matters actually own anything.

As the first man to realize this the Sun king was also the only Citizen of France at his time. The rest were his subjects.

Following his footsteps and example I have answered to those who ask for who is responsible for European matters.

Europe...C'Est moi!

The buck stops here. I will not rest until all European public matters are adressed. The work immense, but it is my work.
